Vegan Sirloin Skewers

by Laura

I love meat, initially it took me a whole year and a half to be able to stop eating it. It was then that I began to discover the different products that existed and began to go on the market that could serve as very good vegan substitutes. The Beyond Meat brand has left me shocked ever since the first time that I tried it, even having tried many other brands, I was always impressed by how rich and fresh their products taste.

On this occasion, I decided to make some vegan sirloin skewers using Beyond Beef.

I added the following ingredients so it had even more flavor and it resembled the meat that I used to eat at home while I was growing up.

  • Purple onion (as much or as little as you want)
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • chopped cilantro to taste

I then mixed the ingredients very well with my hand (after washing them of course) and started forming meat balls that were a bit more flat than usual. The consistency of Beyond Beef is really nice and it easily binds with other ingredients, your ingredients won’t fall apart.

When cooking Beyond Meat/Beef, you do not need to add ANY oil, as the products have enough oil by themselves already.

Look how delicious this looks!

Who’s ready for lunch!? I know I am!
