Breakfast
As with everything that has a beginning, so do new lifestyles and so do your days. Our meal schedules naturally start off with breakfast, and since our stomachs are empty after having

Açai
Since we talked about a proper breakfast on the last post, I wanted to share one of my favorite breakfast options of all time: açaí bowls. Avoid buying frozen puree brands that

Chia Pancakes
I think I'm obsessed with pancakes. However, I think this is my best recipe for pancakes yet! These pancakes are incredibly healthy since they're loaded with protein and FIBER! There's

Vegan Arepas
One of these days, I found at Whole Foods this Beyond Meat "Chicken" and I knew I needed to try it! So I went ahead and got it, and prepared it along with arepas! I added my oil-free garlic/garbanzo bean hummus and fresh slices of avocado. It was delicious! Even though it tastes very close to chicken, I am still not the biggest fan for it lol I have tried their Beyond Meat "Burger" and that one tastes so much better, but that's just my opinion!

Vegan Pizza
There is a special place in my heart for the people who run Miyoko's Kitchen. Their vegan Fresh Mozarella Cheese is to die for! And I'm definitely not exaggerating. Out of all the vegan cheeses that I have tried, this is hands down the best. They would normally have this cheese at Whole Foods, or you can click HERE to search for a retailer that has them near you. I adventured myself into making some pizza that I wouldn't feel as guilty to eat. I went to Whole Foods and found some gluten-free vegan

Quinoa Sushi
When I used to eat regular sushi, I always got a headache and a slight stomachache. I kept telling myself that it was normal since I had eaten a lot. I also thought that the taste definitely made up for whatever discomfort I got afterwards. In order to improve our health, and therefore live longer and much happier, we need to accept the fact that it's not normal to get headaches, bloating, acid reflux, stomachaches, loss of energy, sleepiness or overall discomfort after we're done eating. All these symptoms are usually the

Lentil Soup
The simplest way to slowly transition into a new lifestyle is to carry out a process of substitution of all the foods that you realize are affecting your health. It is important to make sure that these new foods are loaded with the nutrients that your body needs. One of the foods that I love eating the most, because of how versatile and easy to cook they are, are lentils. They are also very high in protein and fiber. In ½ cup – dry lentils (or 1 cup cooked), there

Quinoa Soup
Did you know that the chicken soup gets its fascinating flavor from the vegetables you add to the soup and not from the chicken itself? This soup is definitely one of my favorites and it's great for warming up these fall days. This quinoa soup was made without oil, and contains potatoes, carrots and broccoli. Anti-Inflammatory Juice
One of my favorite juices during the healing period has been this combination of cabbage (either red or green), celery and peeled cucumber. This juice is one of the most potent disease killers since it's anti-inflammatory, extremely alkalizing, it's filled with tons of live enzymes and it's extremely refreshing. Even though it does not taste like Jamba Juice (they use processed, sugary juice from concentrate to make their smoothies taste super sweet), your body eventually learns to crave it, since it's so good for you! Best time to drink this juice: for

Revitalizing Carrot Juice
Juices are one of those things that everyone loves. Babies, from an early age seem to love the sweet taste of fruit juices, such as apple and grape. As we grow up, we are given juices almost on a daily basis, sometimes even replacing sodas with "healthier" options such as bottled juices. However, one detail that always seems to be overlooked is the fact that bottled juices or any juice from a concentrate is actually not healthy at all for 2 reasons: Extra sugar and "vitamins" have been added to

Beets Juice
Beets are crunchy and almost have a similar texture and flavor to carrots. There's plenty of reasons why you should add beets to your diet. Beet juice has been used in the past as a blood purifier and a liver cleanser. Beets are low in fat, rich in antioxidants and are loaded with Vitamin C! Beets also boost stamina and help your muscles use oxygen more effectively, therefore it's great for athletes, or simply as a post-workout drink! I have created a beet juice that's super delicious and it's really easy to

Pumpkin Pie
Before trying Pumpkin pie, I thought I was not going to like it, that’s why I decided to finally try it one day and I absolutely loved it! That goes to show that you can’t say that you don’t like something until you have actually tried it! At that time, I still was not vegan. Naturally, as now I am vegan, at some point I did not think that baking something vegan was going to taste the same as the original recipe. However, a Facebook viral video changed that ideology. So

Sweet Potato Ice Cream
Sweet potatoes can actually become ice cream?! Oh yes my dear, they can! And they are absolutely delicious! What's in sweet potatoes that ice cream needs? Sugars! But the healthy kind, not the bad kind that they sell you on overrated ice cream trucks. Sweet potatoes are called sweet for a reason, and with this recipe you'll find out that when you set your mind to it, you can literally create ice cream out of nowhere. How about we also whip some melted chocolate on top of our rare beauty? Now

Oatmeal Bread with Zucchini, Banana and Chocolate Chips
Veggies are becoming cool nowadays. Zucchini has now joined the conversation with the cool vegetables along with potatoes and pasta (shh! pasta IS a vegetable ?) and now cool recipes such as the one I'm about to present to you have melted our hearts inside out. This yummy bread is made with zucchini, banana AND chocolate chips. I know that combination might sound slightly weird but in reality this bread tastes just like your local Parisian bakery's freshly made bread. It's fluffy, warm and more than flavorful! Vegan Ranch
The last couple of days have been insane. I started a new role as a Shift Manager and have been extremely busy on a daily basis, trying to juggle everything from training my new team of coaches, to new hire orientations and meetings with Operations management. I could have easily stayed in my comfort zone as a translator who did not have any responsibilities other than to translate, but I simply was not happy. I wanted to be trusted with more responsibilities and wanted to show that I am capable of
